Face Mist

I remember there was a one old man looking at one beauty ad campaign and he wondered aloud “why all models looks so sweaty nowadays?” (I could only laugh by the incident). So ladies, there’s a fine line between having a glowing, dewy skin with a sticky and sweaty one; and let’s be honest, it’s usually the latter that we end up have.

So what do we do? Get yourself a face mist and the problem will be gone for good. Read on.

Just like the name, face mist is not simply a water mist, but rather another skin care/makeup accessory that you need if you want to avoid the unnecessary, obvious sweating and keeping the makeup stays on the face. Different face mists are available, depending on your needs and they’re enriched with a number of key ingredients for you to look as youthful as you can be.

A basic face mist should be super moisturizing and prevent your skin from getting thirsty (very handy during summer and winter season!) with key ingredients such as vitamins and hyaluronic acid. For example, Sulwhasoo Hydro-Aid Moisturizing Lifting Mist contains the triple antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E, B vitamins with polysaccharides to for intense hydration.

If a tight budget is keeping you from spending, a good alternative would be organic coconut water that works just as well for hydration.

Not just the sun, but other external factors such as pollution and grime from the very air you breathe can also cause your skin to appear dull and dry (thanks a lot, free radicals!). Your best bet is to choose a face mist specifically made for anti-aging such as La Mer, The Mist, containing nourishing, anti-aging ingredients such as vitamin E, sunflower seeds, and alfalfa to counter these radicals while keeping your skin moisturized and plump.

Another alternative, I recommend to have 10-15 drops of organic argan oil in half a cup of water and spray onto your face as usual, for similar effect.

If you want to keep your hard work and the hours spent perfecting your makeup to last all day, I strongly recommend a handy primer in the form of face mist, works to stay on top of the skin surface (while creating a breathable barrier) so the makeup will stay put for hours. Simply spray it all over your face evenly or do it after the makeup part so the sweat won’t cause the makeup to slip away.

For sensitive ladies, don’t fret as there are face mist suitable for your skin – a soothing one like La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water is what you need for instant spa-like calmness. The face mist is packed with selenium to counter free radicals that cause your skin to stress and healing inflamed skin at the same time.

For a pocket-friendly alternative, you can use a mix of rose hip with lavender in a cup of water, and spray generously over your skin for similar effect.

Face mist can indeed be handy, why not get one for yourself?
